Most dealership websites show a payment that assumes the best credit and hides the fees, or show no payment at all. Rateous starts from the whole number: the selling price, the sales tax for the shopper's city, title and registration, the vehicle license tax and the documentation fee, itemized. From that number it computes the payment for the credit range, down payment and term the shopper chooses, and recomputes it the moment any of them move.

Every payment Rateous displays on a Spark Noir Creative dealer site is labeled an estimate on approved credit, carries the Regulation Z terms beside it, and recomputes exactly from the price, term, rate and down payment, so a payment can never be packed. Lease figures carry the Regulation M disclosures. Confidential program data such as money factors and residuals is computed on the server and never shipped to the browser.
